What happens at the free in-home consultation?

When you request a quote for a Generac level 2 charger plus installation, a local installer will reach out to schedule a good time to meet. They’ll assess your needs and provide you with a custom estimate for total cost.

During your home consultation, you and your dealer will pick the best location for your charger. They’ll advise you on the best placement for safety and efficiency. Both Generac EV charger models are weatherproof and can be installed inside your garage or outdoors.

How much will it cost to install my EV charger?

No two installation jobs are the same. When you meet with your installer, they’ll help you determine what is best for your unique situation. Generac EV chargers cost between $650-$700 depending on the model selected. On average, installation costs range from $700 - $2,000, some of which may be covered by utility programs, tax incentives, EV charger incentives or rebates.

Timing

How long will it take to get my EV charger installed?

The physical installation of the charger usually happens in a single day. However, the process from quote to installation can take weeks. It depends upon installer availability in your area, whether preparatory electrical work is needed, etc. Once you meet with your installer, they can provide specific timing estimates for you.
