Intricate systems come with questions. We have answers.
To get started, we’ll need:
- Address of site, building uses and other context
- Load data or interval data for a year
- Utility charges from tariff names or utility bills
- DERs, including information about the size of existing or proposed DERs, the type of DERs you’d consider (solar, battery, generator, other)
- Objectives in terms of resiliency or cost and carbon reduction
No. While integrating solar panels with a BESS can provide additional benefits and shrink your carbon footprint, a standalone battery energy storage system still offers significant advantages in terms of cost savings, resilience and energy management efficiencies for your commercial office building.
While your BESS can serve as a critical backup during power outages due to extreme weather or an unstable grid, battery energy storage systems are not a full replacement for an uninterruptible power supply. However, BESS can be used in conjunction with a UPS to help guarantee a facility will continue to function during power outages.
We’ll use site load and utility data to determine size needs.
