Generac collaborated with the Laboratory for Energy And Power Solutions (LEAPS) at Arizona State University on a successful proposal for the Defense University Research-to-Adoption (DURA) initiative through the Office of Naval Research (ONR) titled ‘Electric Grid Reliability, Resiliency, and Security’.

Generac provided the Generac Renewable Controller (ARC) to integrate the LEAPS microgrid assets and provide primary control of the microgrid power system.

The microgrid includes an Ideal Power 30C3 inverter with Blue Planet Energy LX HV LFP batteries. ARC provides the primary user interface, real-time controls, and capabilities necessary to test and validate various algorithms to enable the grid of the future to be more reliable, resilient, and secure.
