Pacific Aquafarms

Niland, CA

Pacific Aquafarms built an off-grid microgrid to support a portion of the fish farm just off the Saltan Sea which raises high quality tilapia and catfish for the live market. With large pumps and motor loads, the energy usage was driving the operating costs higher, which was solved by the solar and energy storage microgrid.

The system includes (4) Ideal Power 30C3 with dual DC ports to connect both PV and energy storage. The ARC microgrid controller monitors and controls the energy system to ensure stable and reliable power to the operations.
