- Customer must own or occupy and get owner's consent of the premise(s) where the PWRcell is installed.
- Customer must be installing the eligible equipment for the first time – additional battery models to an existing PWRcell installation are not eligible for Duke PowerPair incentives.
- PWRcell must be installed by Duke Energy trade ally and will be subject to inspection and verification upon request of Duke Energy.
- Installer must be Duke Energy-approved prior to submitting an application for a PowerPair incentive for the installed equipment
- The installed equipment must comply with interconnection standards and maintain Internetconnectivity to provide required operation and operating characteristic data.

- Enrolling in Power Manager/EnergyWise Home is a simple way to help your community by letting Duke Energy more effectively manage energy on the electric grid, plus you receive monthly bill credits for participating.
- Duke Energy’s Net Metering Bride Rider rate, which could be more favorable for your solar savings, is only available for customers enrolled in Power Manager/EnergyWise Home.

- Participating in Power Manager/EnergyWise Home helps decrease the use of less efficient and more expensive energy sources to support the grid.
- Participating in the EnergyWise Home/Power Manager program allows Duke Energy Progress/Carolina to understand and sometimes use a customer’s battery to support operation of the grid.
- Duke Energy will deploy up to 36 battery control events per year, with a minimum of 30 events
- December – March: Up to 18 times
- May – September: Up to 9 times -- April, October and November: Up to 9 times
- Customers may opt out of up to four events per year
- If customers opt out of more than four events in a year, their continued eligibility and participation in the program will be evaluated by Duke Energy and customer may be removed from program
- Events will be called within a 48-hour period and may include a pre-charging event, hold charge steady, discharge, adjustment of user settings and return of settings to preset values. Event charge and discharge will each typically range from 1 to 3 hours. See Duke Energy's program terms and conditions here
PWRcell owners can select their desired Minimum Reserve Capacity through the PWRview application. The battery will not be discharged below this level during program events, leaving charge remaining to respond to utility power outages.
- The Net Metering Bridge Rider associated with the Power Manager / EnergyWise Home programs may provide additional time of use savings, but discharge events scheduled by Duke Energy during non-peak hours could affect these savings
